ZARNISH KHAN A Free Spirit

Zarnish Khan exudes panache unlike any other artist. Let’s discover the fun side of her!

Did you ever think that you would turn out to be an actor?

Never actually. Acting as a profession was more of a destiny than a choice.

A beverage you like?
Barbican

What best describes you?
Compassionate, fun loving and neutral

What is your worst quality?
Short span of interest

Favorite cartoon growing up that you love to this day?
Pink Panther

What is your best quality?
Well, minding our own businesses is the best quality we could keep, especially the times we live in, and I can happily say that I have it. Plus, I hate gossiping!

Favorite singers?
Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar

Your ultimate goal in life?
To be a good human being and to serve the purpose of my existence.

Which career would you have chosen outside of acting?
There are so many professions I find interesting so I really don’t know. I guess nature photography is what I look at next.

What is your idea of beauty?
Being real and down to earth

An ideal vacationing spot?
Anywhere in Maldives and Georgia

Dogs or cats?
Dogs

How do you want our entertainment industry to evolve?
People need to be more real and down to earth. By the end of the day, we are the ones setting an example.

Your go-to fall outfit?
It depends entirely on my mood! I don’t plan my looks.

Who are you inspired by?
My parents and my husband. Whoever I am today is because of them.

An era you wish to go back and live in?
Between the 70s and the 90s. Love the trends from all these eras.

Do you have a sweet tooth? What do you like the most?
A big one! Anything sweet, even if it is raw sugar (laughs).

What do you love most about your husband?
A million things but to begin with, I love the fact that he is equally intellectual and fun, extremely calm, patient and quite adventurous. I love his voice too.

You lost a lot of weight and people still criticize you for being too thin. Are people ever satisfied with someone else’s happiness?
These days, I don’t think so. My mantra is: “You can’t possibly make everyone happy, so only worry about the ones that matter including yourself.”

A television show you are obsessed with?
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and Modern Family. My all-time favorites.

Your star sign?
Leo

How do you usually relax when not working?
Bubble bath with music and yoga

Your idea of body positivity?
Firstly, you should accept yourself the way you are and be happy with it. Confidence is the best outfit you can wear. If you will accept yourself, the world will do too. Most things are just in our heads.
