Bench – An International Mark
Usman Mukhtar’s internationally recognized film ‘Bench’ released digitally on his YouTube channel. The multi-talented star took to his social media and broke the news “I am very excited to finally share the digital release of this film,” said Mukhtar. The short film starring Rubya Chaudhry and Mukhtar himself has also been selected for the Cannes International Independent Film Festival. “This film is very special to me as it is the first one to be recognized internationally,” he added to the post. “Me and the whole cast and crew are excited for you to see it,” he said in the end. The short film follows the story of a married couple and how difficult it can be to make the right decision. The film has been directed by Usman Mukhtar, produced by Hassan Nadeem, and penned down brilliantly by Ali Mudar.

Recai Karaca Pak, a Turkish man living in Germany hit the road with his bike last year, travelling across Europe to raise awareness of the scourges of racism and hate crimes against Muslims. His journey was inspired by the unfounded racist and Islamophobic news reports targeting Muslims and Turks in Europe. “I want to show our humanness to those who do not know us. Because those who do not know Muslims keep a distance due to the propaganda in the media,” the 47-year-old engineer says.“Muslims face racism and encounter difficulties in finding a job or renting an apartment in many places. Our mosques face over 400 attacks a year. The solution is to introduce and express ourselves,” he adds.
