Tell us about your background education, dob and star sign?
I’ve done my graduation. And my date of birth is 4th April and my zodiac is Aries.

Tell us about your journey. How did you enter the modelling industry?
Well I was introduced in the industry by the very graceful and talented Nighat Misbah aka Akku Appa and then she introduced me to the amazing Rizwan ul Haq and the rest is history.

How did your family react to the news of you entering the field?
Initially they weren’t all that happy with my choice of career but now they are my biggest supporters.

And when did you know a career in beauty was for you?
Well when i was growing up I used to hear a lot of praises for myself and it was more like you look edgy, you are unconventional and you look fierce. I was never called beautiful and I never cared and I have worked very hard to reach here. So I think I made it in this industry because I was fierce and not because I was beautiful.

What is your idea of fashion vs style?
Fashion is what’s in the trend and style is how you carry yourself keeping current trend in mind.

Please share something about your upcoming project?
I did a lot winter campaigns, and I have spring/summer campaigns lined up.

Can you tell us what makes you a good fit for this highly demanding profession with the competition being so tough?
Luckily I’ve been blessed with this amazing physique so I really don’t have to follow any fitness routine.

What are the biggest challenges models have to face?
Well if you are dark skinned like me you need to establish yourself as a brand which isn’t easy in the industry where people are crazy for white skins. So I faced a lot of challenges due to my skin colour only.

If we take a peek in your makeup kit what would we see?
Lip gloss and a red lipstick.

What was your most memorable campaign so far? Why?
Sana Safinaz lawn campaign which was shot in Africa. It was an amazing experience for me. Everything about that shoot was just so unconventional.

Can you talk about a fan encounter that completely took you by surprise?
I had this crazy encounter with a fan in Islamabad and her reaction really took my by surprise.

When you’re not busy modelling, what are some of your favourite things to do?
I sleep and I love spending time with my family.

How do you maintain a reasonable balance between personal and professional life?
Well I’m blessed with very understanding family so I don’t have to worry about such things.

That I am a foodie and I eat a lot.
