With the onset of a pandemic, remaining fit is becoming a tad harder than usual. Here’s to getting inspiration from your favorite stars on how to keep the rhythm going and maintaining a whole some lifestyle.
What is your philosophy on health and fitness?
Just one word: Balance. In everything that you do, look for keeping it afloat. A balanced diet with no excess or no cutting anything out is the key. Similarly having a solid work life balance is essential. There’s something we tend to ignore- having a healthy way of thinking which allows us to keep a mentally fit and positive perspective on life. Mental health is just so important especially during these trying times, where even the best of us have broken down so easily.
Would you call yourself a health freak-elaborate?
Not really but I have always been very active in sports since I was a kid. But as I got older, I replaced sports with taking the stairs and swimming as often as I can. I’m an avid swimmer actually.
Any fad diets that worked for you?
Don’t believe in them neither do I endorse fad diets. Never have.
Finally I have one, after years of taking my skin for granted. I now cleanse my skin with a wonderful green apple smelling concoction then once washed I make sure to moisturize or apply a healing serum afterwards.
I do yoga with my daughter which ends up being the most non serious yoga session but it’s fun and we get some exercise in too!
If so, what’s the main item on the menu?
I don’t really need a cheat day if I eat a balanced diet every day.
Coffee…though I aim to do a few stretches but rarely succeed
Anywhere that serves a great steak
At the beach for sure
following perfect meals?
Dinner: Mama ke haath ka khana!
Snacks: These days my go to snack is hummus and cucumbers.
Guilty pleasures: Chocolate for sure.
The classic garden salad with my special sesame oil dressing and cottage cheese.
I make it a point to save some time in the day for me-just me. There are no phones, no friends and family around. As well as no TV, or any other distractions. This is my time to just breathe and I follow this deep breathing practice that helps my asthma and relaxes me.
