Mansha Pasha (Model/Host/Actress)SJA

1. What do you shop the most in ‘Chaand Raat’?

Bangles! Jewellery! Clothes the works. Chaand Raat is really fun!

2. The dress you will go to wear on the first day of Eid?

An embroidered stylish kameez and churidaar suit.

3. Eidi, you get it from someone or you give to someone?

I used to get lots of eidi as I’m the youngest in the family. I still get some but since I’ve gotten married, I have to give it too!

4. Dessert, you would love to have in your home on Eid day?

Sawiyaan on Eid day is the best thing ever!

5. Mention three ways, how do you celebrate your Eid days?

Saying Eid namaaz, spending time with family, and shopping!

Hassan Rizvi (Choreographer)qq

1. What do you shop the most in ‘Chaand Raat’?
Chand Raat is most defiantly about the bangles. Although my wife doesn’t really wear them she still like stow buy them and I like to buy them for her. It’s usually a huge bunch of us some family and some friends. The boys hang out while the girls do a little shopping. Usually end up buying my Kurta last minute especially because Hina insists.
2. The dress you will go to wear on the first day of Eid?
Shalwar Kameez for sure but I don’t feel the need to buy something new. Specially because we buy enough Kurtas the whole season, reason of the line of business we are in.
3. Eidi, you get it from someone or you give to someone?
In the transition phase I guess. A little bit of both. My in-laws and parents obviously give us Eidi but MashAllah with the growing amount of nieces and nephews it’s our turn to give Eidi to them.
4. Dessert, you would love to have in your home on Eid day?
I’m really not into desi desserts love desi food though. For desserts I’m more a brownie and cupcake type person.
5. Mention three ways, how do you celebrate your Eid days?
We pray as a family at a mosque, Visit my grandparents’ grave, go visiting, sleep a lot, visit of our close friends especially the ones with kids, make a few calls to friends living abroad and send messages to all the ones in town.

Sana Ansari (SuperModel)KJA

1. What do you shop the most in ‘Chaand Raat’?
Back in the day my entire family would get out on Chaand Raat to do my dad’s Eid shopping because his shopping was always left till the last minute. Now I don’t really shop on Chaand Raat, I just go out with my friends and experience one of the best things about living in a country like Pakistan, the Chaand Raat hula gula.

2. The dress you will go to wear on the first day of Eid?
Well I have two beautiful dresses, from Farah Talib Aziz and Nomi Ansari, I am ecstatic about wearing both this Eid.

3. Eidi, you get it from someone or you give to someone?
Oh my God I love getting Eidi, I think I enjoy Eid-ul-Fitr more just because of this reason. I still remember I used to get 10 rupees Eidi from my Dadi every year and as a kid even that was SOOO exciting for me. I still consider myself young so I don’t really give Eidi to anyone except the people who work at my house.

4. Dessert, you would love to have in your home on Eid day?
My mom’s special Sawaiyaan. They are AMAZING!!!! There is no Eid if my mom doesn’t make this delicious dish!

5.Mention three ways, how do you celebrate your Eid days?
1. Going to my eldest uncles house for lunch on the first day, meet my entire family and collect Eidi from everyone 😀
2. Taking lots of ridiculous pictures which are too embarrassing to even be shown to anyone.
3. Spending quality time with my family, because after all its Eid!

6. Some tips of how to dress up in a stylish way and what to cook?

I would say cook something different not have the typical food items everyone makes. I personally like making different things such as chocolate chip cookies or homemade tofu type toffee (my sister has an
amazing recipe). Of course Sawaiyaan and all will be there but as a different dish, make something that people get excited to see when they come. As for dressing up, my advice to all the ladies is – dress like
yourself, don’t overdo it. “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance”.

Zahra Raza (CEO L’atelier)11
1. What do you shop the most in ‘Chaand Raat’?
I honestly don’t ever get time to shop at Chaand Raat. I am the one who is at the store making sure the entire city is shopping for Chaand Raat. Owning the most renowned multi-brand store costs me a Eid Jora. 😉

2. The dress you will go to wear on the first day of Eid?
I am so exhausted from our Eid Bazaar every year, which goes on till 4am. I usually end up wearing something I’ve picked out before.

3. Eidi, you get it from someone or you give to someone?
It’s a ritual that my father gives us Eidi every year.

4. Dessert, you would love to have in your home on Eid day?
I don’t have a sweet tooth at all, but I love that after Ramadaan I can eat at anytime all day.

5. Mention three ways, how do you celebrate your Eid days?
1. Spending time with family.
2. Eating all day long.
3. Seeing friends and relatives.

Beenish Pervez (Makeup Artist)beenish
1. What do you shop the most in ‘Chaand Raat’?
I don’t step out of my salon on Chand Raat because the salon is always jam packed though it’s another enjoyment in the salon on. We celebrate it by giving giveaways to the clients and provide them smile and satisfaction through our work.

2. The dress you will go to wear on the first day of Eid?
Trendy & stylish.

3. Eidi, you get it from someone or you give to someone?
Mostly I give cause I m the eldest in the siblings.

4. Dessert, you would love to have in your home on Eid day?
Well yeah that’s a big cheat day for me I think Eid is the festival for food I love enjoying dhoodh sawayian, icecream and chocolates.

5. Mention three ways, how do you celebrate your Eid days?
Sleeping, meeting friends and family and yes I try to take out time for power people who have no buddy to wish them visit any of the old homes or orphanages to spread happiness there.

Amna Aqeel (Fashion Designer)AW

1. What do you shop the most in ‘Chaand Raat’?

Chaand Raat is as important as Eid I usually take my daughter out for mehndi, bangles and the last minute shopping for the next morning.

2. The dress you will go to wear on the first day of Eid?

I usually prefer to wear white that’s my all time favorite color in Eastern wear.

3. Eidi, you get it from someone or you give to someone?

I give and receive both.

4. Dessert, you would love to have in your home on Eid day?

Yes I love kheer, sheer khorma and sawaiyaan at home, made by my mother.

5. Mention three ways, how do you celebrate your Eid days?

After the whole month of Holy Ramadan we all look forward to celebrate Eid so I celebrate it with my family and friends. Go for family lunches and dinners I make sure I meet my entire family member in these three days.

Sanam Saeed (Model/Actress)991
1. What do you shop the most in ‘Chaand Raat’?
I still enjoy the excitement of mehndi and churis.

2. The dress you will go to wear on the first day of Eid?

I love Khaadi and Generation, usually a new kurta from one of them. But this year there are many designers coming out with beautiful fun stuff.

3. Eidi, you get it from someone or you give to someone?

I still get Eidi from my elders and I give Eidi to the little ones.

4. Dessert, you would love to have in your home on Eid day?

There is no Eid without sheer khorma and puris!

5. Mention three ways, how do you celebrate your Eid days?
Eid namaz, small family breakfast, visiting elder relatives and then big family dinner.

Adnan Pardesy (Fashion Designer)
1. What do you shop the most in ‘Chaand Raat’?
I used to be a fan of Chand Raat shopping before when I was younger perhaps. However, now it’s just my night off from all the Eid deliveries and I just want to relax indoors. The traffic outside on Chand Raat is insane!

2. The dress you will go to wear on the first day of Eid?
My mom will pick it out for me like she always does.

3. Eidi, you get it from someone or you give to someone?
I am the kids’ worst night mare on Eid. I torture them for Eidi and in fact even steal all that they’ve collected just to bug them. It’s all just fun and games obviously but I do miss the times when I used to get Eidi.

4. Dessert, you would love to have in your home on Eid day?
I’m a real foodie so I love all the food that is set on our table on Eid. The mithais, cakes, sawaiyan, trifles, you name it!

5. Mention three ways, how do you celebrate your Eid days?
For me Eid has become more of a time for me to relax rather than the hustle bustle. It’s nice to see friendly faces at home, reconnect with cousins and friends that I wouldn’t normally be able to take time out for due to my work routine.
