Filmmaker and versatile actor Usman Mukhtar recently hinted at his next movie, “Chikkar,” with an intriguing Instagram post that gave fans a taste of the gripping story. The intriguing caption, “Chikkar is us. It’s the oppressed, and the oppressor,” sets the stage for a tale that promises to elucidate the complexities of silence, power, and hope.“Chikkar” is a Dareechey Films production with an impressive cast that includes Adnan Shah Tipu, Ushna Shah, Saleem Meiraj, and Usama Javaid Haider. It employs the Punjabi word “Chikkar” (mud) as a metaphor for our common ancestry and impossible return to the dirt, signifying the oppressed.

2024 is shaping up to be a big year for Jennifer Lopez. The superstar announced on Nov. 27 that she is releasing a new album and a new movie next year. Lopez’s album “This Is Me… Now” will be available Feb. 16 and comes more than two decades after the release of her smash 2002 album, “This Is Me… Then.” The new album “effortlessly blends R&B, contemporary pop sounds and hip-hop beats, combined with her emotional signature vocals” and “is Lopez’s most honest and personal yet,” according to reports.
