- What’s the first thing you do in the morning?
Whenever I wake up, the first thing I do is recite Bismillah. After that I have two glasses of water. This is my daily routine.
- What is your usual workout routine like?
My workout routine basically consists of working five days a week. Workout for me is simply not exercising or trying to keep myself healthy. Rather for me it is a form of meditation, which I do every day. It can be any kind of exercise, to keep myself active and burden free. That is what I call exercise.
- What’s your typical breakfast?
Typical breakfast I usually do on Sundays, which is completely unhealthy food. It is based on unhealthy junk you can say, halwa puri, paratha, chana and this sort of food is typical for me. In normal routine I change my breakfast regularly to have a variety. I do not have the same thing every day. I have porridge, eggs, mostly fried whites of 3 eggs with one yolk, with barn or any multigrain toast. Along with this sometimes I would have coffee and at others I go for tea, it depends on the mood.
- What does “balance” mean to you?
For me it is to control your mind, rather than letting it control you. This is what I call meditation, it is to control your mind and allow things to happen in a balanced way.
- Do you use any type of herbs in your day to day routine?
Actually, I have a strong belief in herbs. I follow my mother’s desi methods to the core. There are a lot of herbs that I use, but on a daily basis it would include black peppercorn in the morning before breakfast is very good for you system, and ginger in the form of ginger tea. I prefer to add raw ginger to water and make tea.
- Are you a walk or a workout person?
I follow both walk and workout. For those looking for a suggestion I would say walk, as it is a possible exercise. Specifically those who cannot workout should start with regular walk.
