I really don’t get a chance to go out of town with family I always wish anyway!

Because it’s a Family Time!!!

This time, we took a special interview of much known fashion celebrity Kanwal Ilyas, who is a lovable personality and known to be a perfect supermodel... Here she shared the prized memories that splurge with her family and now just focusing on her career.…

  1. What’s your first memory?

My first crush on my teacher when I was in 4 class.

  1. How did your parents meet?

It was totally an arranged marriage, they were engaged for long 5 years and first thy saw each other till the time when they got married.

  1. Tell us about your childhood home?

It was our grandparent’s house where I grew up and second home was my nano house I have a lot of beautiful memories there. I still dream about my grandparent’s house where I grew up.

  1. Tell us about your views, what you will have to do something unique and exclusive on your wedding day?

When I was growing up I used to imagine a lot about my wedding when I went to others wedding functions till a few years back. I used to think a lot about my wedding dress, reception dress, decor, jewellery. But now I don’t think about it at all. If I get married that would b so simple in a mosque with my very close family members. I don’t fancy a grand wedding anymore.

  1. What were your favorite school subjects?

Painting! As I’m a born artist.

  1. What did you do with your first paycheck?

My first earning was Rs.500 when I was in class 9th. I used to make practical books for biology and chemistry so all of my class mates used to help me. I made couple of books for the market and I got paid.

  1. Suggest any 4 tips how to take all the family relations in a proper manner?

Sit together at least one time in a whole day.
Share your issues and problems.
Be your best friends with your parents.
Respect each other and have light moments together.

  1. How do you celebrate holidays with your family?

I really don’t get a chance to go out of town with family; through I always wish to do. But any day off by me or it’s officially we stay at home, my mom cook delicious food and watch TV & movies.

  1. Tell us about some of the places where you’ve been happiest?

There must be a lot of, once I have been to Hunza, another destination which was like a dream to me was the clear beach, dark clouds, mountains around I’m with my loved one. And home where I feel so relaxed and happy off course!

  1. Describe a typical family dinner. Did you all eat together as a family? Who did the cooking? What were your favorite foods?

Oh those good family dinner days, how can I forget in our old house on a same table dinner with Dada Ji and we all got together, it was beautiful. Now we do it when we have a whole family dinner at home. Daal Chawal made by my nano was like a family favorite dish, since she is no more my mom made them but not as my nano was to cook. I love when my mom cooks lady fingers and biryani for me.

  1. How is the world today different from what it was like when you were a child?

It is totally opposite when I was a kid. My mom told me enjoy this time beta, this is the moment to live and enjoy when’ll be young you will miss this time. Now! I miss my childhood so much. Today’s world is like so materialistic, hatred is everywhere, jealousy, back-biting, so there is nothing like our childhood days. Those days were so simple, we loved our friends, honesty, love everything but bad!
