In early February 2025, social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as ‘The Rebel Kid,’ faced a challenging situation during her appearance at the Under 25 Summit held at Delhi Technological University (DTU). A viral video from the event captures Mukhija confronting a group of students who were heckling her during her stage presentation.
The incident began when a group of male students started shouting the name of Mukhija’s ex-boyfriend as she took the stage. Initially attempting to ignore the disruptions, Mukhija eventually addressed the hecklers directly. In the video, she is heard challenging them, stating, “100 baar aur todungi aur tu idhr aaja teri haddiyan bhi todungi. Tu idhar udhar bhaag raha tha na chup chupke. Aaja.” This translates to, “I will break you a hundred times over; come here, and I’ll break your bones. You were sneaking around, running here and there. Come.” The crowd cheered as the hecklers retreated.

Following the event, Mukhija took to social media to explain her reaction. She expressed that she had arrived at the summit with enthusiasm to engage with the students but was met with unexpected hostility. Mukhija recounted that during a Q&A session, one of the hecklers questioned her about a post she had made concerning a YouTuber who had previously roasted her. The situation escalated when the group attempted to approach the stage, prompting intervention from security personnel.
The incident sparked a wave of support for Mukhija on social media platforms. Many praised her for standing up against harassment and maintaining her composure in a difficult situation. One user commented, “Your actions were justified, and taking a stand for yourself is also a good move.” Another noted, “I hate the fact that everyone was just standing there… and no one tried to stop him. You’re brave! It takes courage… it’s not easy.”
This event at DTU is not the first time Mukhija has been at the center of public attention. Shortly after the incident, she faced further controversy during an appearance on the YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent,’ leading to public backlash and potential legal action.
