“This is outrageous! This is barbaric! In what world are we living? FREE THE PEOPLE OF GAZA FROM THE HANDS OF THE ISRAELI OCCUPATION AND GENOCIDE.”
The post quickly went viral, with Hadid accusing the Israeli government of decades-long displacement, violence, and forced evictions against Palestinians. She pointed to the rise in refugee camps outside Palestine as evidence of systemic injustice.
“You wonder why there are so many refugee camps outside of Palestine filled with innocent Palestinians? I wonder who (we know who) and why (we know why),” she wrote, clearly emotional. “Palestinians have been getting kicked out of their homes and murdered on their land. For years!!! Food for thought. I’m in tears.”
