Deleting your browser history doesn’t delete your actual history.
Google still knows everything.
If you truly want to wipe your digital footprint, here’s how to do it properly: 👇
1. Start with Google
- Head to myactivity.google.com
- Click ‘Delete’ at the top
- Pick ‘All time’ and erase everything
That’s where the real tracking happens. Not just in your browser.
2. Delete accounts you forgot about
- Open your inbox
- Search for “Sign up” or “Welcome”
- Find the apps and websites you joined
- Log in and delete your profile
Less clutter. Less risk
3. Use a VPN, smartly
- Turn it on while using public Wi-Fi
- Don’t use it for banking or anything sensitive
- Pair it with DuckDuckGo for cleaner, private browsing
4. Update your passwords
- Change them every 6 months
- Use strong, unique passwords
- Turn on 2FA and use a password manager if you can
