British singer Ed Sheeran undertook a scooter adventure along with Indian playback specialist Arijit Singh when they explored Jiaganj in Murshidabad district West Bengal through its streets. Arijit piloted the scooter while Ed rode behind him in the video that became widely popular as they seemed comfortable without apparent security personnel.
The duo engaged in five hours of activities which involved both driving across Jiaganj on a scooter and taking a boat ride on the Bhagirathi River from Shibtala Ghat that lasted for one hour. Ed Sheeran specifically asked for minimal protection staff because he wanted an unobstructed local experience.
The artists have formed alliances before this occasion. When Ed Sheeran appeared with Arijit Singh at their London show in September 2024 the two artists introduced their friendship through musical performances of their hit songs.

Their casual meeting has received praise from fans due to its straightforward and genuine nature. The users on social media shared their praise for this authentic scooter journey through Jiaganj-specific land by “the two most admired popular singers of this era.”
Security was a question for certain spectators because the performers rode without helmets. Despite looking wholesome they need helmets according to the comment. Road safety matters even when people engage in casual activities as emphasized by this example.
During his ‘The Mathematics Tour’ Ed Sheeran has performed throughout Indian cities which include Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru. His concerts will occur in Shillong on February 12 followed by Delhi-NCR on February 15.
Both musicians decided to improvise a spontaneous activity that pleased their followers as they displayed how music and friendship exist independently of cultural differences.
