The official website of EOBI Pakistan, the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution, is unexpectedly showing vulgar and inappropriate content in its meta description on Google. When users search for “EOBI Pakistan,” offensive language appears below the website link, raising concerns about a possible security vulnerability.
How Did This Happen?
Experts believe the issue could be linked to a compromised WordPress theme or plugin. There are suggestions that EOBI Pakistan’s website may have used a cracked theme that contained hidden code. This code could have allowed attackers to inject unwanted SEO backlinks or explicit terms into the site’s metadata without detection.

Why It Matters
As a key government institution under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, EOBI Pakistan manages pensions and benefits for private-sector workers. Such incidents damage public trust and highlight the need for stronger cybersecurity measures on official websites. So far, no official statement has been released by EOBI.
