A horrifying case of domestic violence has emerged from Karachi’s Liaquatabad area, where a father allegedly burned his 10-month-old son during a heated argument with his wife. The shocking incident reportedly took place a few days ago when the wife asked for a divorce, which triggered a violent outburst from the husband.
According to early reports, the situation escalated quickly. In a moment of uncontrolled rage, the father is said to have placed the infant on a lit stove. The baby sustained severe burn injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment. Doctors are monitoring the child’s condition closely.
The mother, devastated by the traumatic event, approached the local police and filed a formal complaint. She also lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against her husband. Responding swiftly, the Liaquatabad Police, along with the Sindh Child Protection Unit, arrested the suspect. He is currently in police custody, and further investigation is underway.
