Pakistani actors Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed recently discussed the idea of a remake for their popular TV series ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’. The show, which premiered in 2012, remains a beloved favorite among fans in both Pakistan and India.
Fawad Khan’s Perspective
In an interview with Pakistani magazine Something Haute, Fawad Khan, who currently stars in the new show ‘Barzakh,’ shared his mixed feelings about a remake of ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’. He expressed that the original series had many light-hearted moments that he would prefer to keep intact. “I’m a bit divided about that,” he admitted. “There were very light-hearted moments in the original, and I’d want it to stay that way.”
Sanam Saeed’s Thoughts
Sanam Saeed, Fawad’s co-star, echoed his sentiments. In a previous interview with News18, she explained why a sequel might not capture the same magic. “A sequel wouldn’t offer the same magic because now they’re married. Once Zaroon and Kashaf (their characters) are married, it will be boring. They have children now, and I doubt they have the same nok-jhok waala romance,” she said.
Current Projects
Both actors have moved on to new projects. Their latest fantasy drama, ‘Barzakh,’ premiered on July 19 on Zee5 and YouTube. This show has garnered significant attention and positive reviews. Additionally, fans are eagerly awaiting their next collaboration in the highly-anticipated Netflix series, ‘Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo’.
