Pakistan Set to Get New Motorway: Route Revealed
Pakistan will soon get a new motorway that will improve travel and boost religious tourism. The government has approved the project to connect Kartarpur and Nankana Sahib with the national motorway network. As a result, pilgrims will reach holy sites faster and with ease.

Guru Nanak Expressway Project Details
Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan announced the decision in Islamabad. He ordered the National Highway Authority (NHA) to begin work on the Sialkot–Kartarpur Motorway. Authorities will name the road the Guru Nanak Expressway.
Additionally, the minister called the project vital for national development.
Hotels and Travel Facilities Along the Route
The government plans to build 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star hotels along the motorway. Furthermore, officials will add rest areas and shopping malls. These facilities will improve comfort for pilgrims and tourists.
As a result, the route will attract more visitors.
Investment Drive Targeting Sikh Community
Meanwhile, the NHA will launch global campaigns in London, Canada, and the United States. These campaigns will target the Sikh community abroad. Therefore, Pakistan hopes to attract foreign investment.
Economic Growth for Nearby Areas
In addition, the motorway will support nearby towns. Narang Mandi and Badu Malhi will see better trade and jobs. Consequently, local businesses will grow.
