Are you suffering from chapped, dry lips this winter? Here’s looking into ways in which you can treat chapped lips with organic, do-it-yourself (DIY) remedies. These can be effective and gentle; try out these natural solutions;

Coconut Oil

Simply apply a small amount of organic coconut oil to your lips. It’s a natural moisturizer and contains fatty acids that can help hydrate and heal chapped lips.

Honey

Honey is known for its moisturizing and antibacterial properties. Apply a thin layer of honey to your lips and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before gently rinsing it off.

Shea Butter

It is rich in vitamins and fatty acids that can nourish and heal chapped lips. Apply a small amount before bedtime for overnight treatment.

Olive Oil

All you need to do is dab a little organic olive oil onto your lips for a natural moisturizer. Olive oil contains antioxidants and healthy fats that can help soothe and heal dry skin.

Aloe Vera Gel

Pure aloe vera gel can be soothing for chapped lips. Apply a small amount to your lips and let it absorb. Make sure it’s pure aloe vera without added chemicals.

Cucumber Slices

Place thin slices of cucumber on your lips for 10-15 minutes. Cucumber has hydrating properties and can help soothe irritated skin.

Green Tea Bags

After steeping green tea bags, let them cool and then press them gently against your lips. Green tea has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.

Jojoba Oil

This kind of oil closely resembles the natural oils produced by the skin. Apply a small amount to your lips to help moisturize and promote healing.

Rosewater Miracle

Mix a few drops of rosewater with a teaspoon of honey and apply the mixture to your lips. Rosewater has a soothing effect, and honey provides moisture.

Stay Hydrated

It is important to drink plenty of water as it helps in preventing and treating chapped lips.
