Why Humayun Saeed Laughs at Criticism
Veteran actor and producer Humayun Saeed has a relaxed approach when it comes to drama criticism. Speaking in a recent interview with journalist Ambreen Fatima, the Main Manto Nahi Hoon star said he often laughs at harsh reviews and doesn’t let them affect him. “They’re just doing their job,” he remarked, referring to drama reviewers on YouTube and TV.
“Let Them Do Theirs, We’ll Do Ours”
Saeed noted that many of these reviewers are his acquaintances and senior industry members. “Criticism is their bread and butter,” he said, urging fans not to leave abusive comments under critique videos. He acknowledged their right to judge his acting, just as audiences judge any form of entertainment.

Speaking about his latest drama, Main Manto Nahi Hoon, Saeed revealed the complexity of his character and how different it is from his real personality. He praised co-stars Sajal Aly, Sanam Saeed, and Yumna Zaidi, calling them top-tier talents.
The inclusion of Saima Noor was the director’s idea, which Saeed supported. Her character has quickly become a fan favorite, adding depth to the drama.
Humayun promised that the show will become more “eventful,” with strong dialogues coming up in the next episodes.
