Karachi received long-anticipated monsoon rainfall early Tuesday morning, soaking several parts of the city and leading to urban flooding in low-lying areas. The latest spell of Karachi rain comes after weeks of hot, dry weather, bringing relief to residents but also causing significant disruptions.
Traffic Disrupted Across Major Roads
The Karachi Traffic Police issued an early morning advisory at 8:11 AM, warning commuters about traffic congestion on key routes. Shahrae Faisal, the National Highway, and other major arteries saw traffic slowdowns due to water accumulation.
Authorities urged drivers to take precautionary measures, including:
- Maintaining slow speeds
- Avoiding sudden braking
- Keeping a safe distance from other vehicles
These steps can help reduce accidents during poor visibility and slippery conditions caused by the ongoing Karachi rain.

PMD Issues Rain Forecast for Karachi and Beyond

Residents are advised to stay updated on the latest Karachi weather conditions and avoid unnecessary travel during peak rain hours.
