On Wednesday night, a horrific acid attack left a woman and her young daughter with severe burns. Unidentified attackers broke into their home and threw acid on them while they slept. The attack occurred in Wahianwali Thokar village, located in the Ahmedpur East tehsil of Bahawalpur.
Brutal Attack in the Dead of Night
According to Rescue 1122, 45-year-old Shaheena and her 9-year-old daughter, Muskan, were asleep when the assailants entered their house. Without warning, they doused the victims with acid, inflicting serious injuries.
Emergency responders quickly transported them to THQ Hospital for urgent medical care. Doctors confirmed that both mother and daughter suffered critical burns.
Police Launch Investigation
After receiving the distress call, local police arrived at the scene to gather evidence. They have registered a case against the unknown attackers. However, no arrests have been made yet. Authorities are actively searching for those responsible and urging anyone with information to come forward.
