She said, “That was the most important thing, where it was so personal for her and relatable in a way. In some ways, it was relatable. I think I grew to love Sharmila because I’m not a Sharmila Tagore fan.” She continued, “Because I grew up in the 70s and 80s in Pakistan. That is, I think, one of the big surprises to me, that I grew to love Sharmila Tagore.”
Bucha also shared her enthusiasm for a particular scene in the film, the Tupperware scene, which drew her to the project. She said, “If this film is going to have a Tupperware scene, then nobody else is going to do this, I want to do this.” She expressed her delight in working on that scene and how it resonated with her as an actor.
