SD: Share with our readers your journey toward becoming a fashion influencer.
Emaan: Back in February 2016, on my 18th birthday, my photos went viral, prompting me to make my Instagram account public and start this journey. I must say, I miss the old Instagram days.
SD: How would you describe your personal fashion style?
Emaan: My personal style would be EXTRAAA. Haha, but yes I always have eyes for the most exclusive items.
SD: What remains your favorite aspect of being a digital personality?
Emaan: My favorite part of being a digital personality is showcasing my style and interests to a global audience.
SD: Which designer do you feel has the most distinctive edge that inspires you the most?
Emaan: I’ve been a fan of Rahul Mishra’s work for a couple of years and always picture myself in one of his pieces.
SD: Being a public figure, how do you not let the trolls and negativity get to you?
Emaan: I would be lying if I said it doesn’t affect me, of course it does. It always will.
SD: You have a strong knack for traveling- what remains the most fulfilling aspect about it?
Emaan: Travel brings me peace, and the more I travel, the stronger my yearning for home becomes. It reminds me that, no matter where you go, there’s no place like home.
SD: Western or Eastern- Which do you consider as your choice of wear?
Emaan: Both but I’m always imagining styling Eastern more so I guess Eastern takes the lead.
SD: Considering your popularity, would you ever wish to venture into the world of acting?
Emaan: I’d love to, and I’ve had opportunities, but my political/feudal background imposes certain limitations I must adhere to. So, I guess not.
SD: What kind of projects are you working on currently?
Emaan: Currently, in fact, this entire year so far has been about learning to build my own brand.
