Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister, has announced the 8070 Ramzan Relief Package 2025, developed specifically to ease the financial hardships faced by underprivileged families during Ramzan. An overall allocation of Rs20 billion in funds has been proposed for nearly 40 million households in Pakistan under this program.
Ramzan Relief Package is as follows:
Direct Cash Assistance:
Each eligible family would receive a cash grant of Rs10,000 for household consumption during the time of Ramzan.
Subsidized Commodities:
Once the package is operative, it will give a handsome discount on the prices of basic foodstuffs such as flour, sugar, pulses, ghee, and rice to keep them within the purchasing power of poor families.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must satisfy the following requirements to qualify for the relief package:
- Have a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
- Be registered under either the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) or the Ehsaas Programme.
