n a surprising turn of events, the fresh teaser for the Shoaib Akhtar biopic titled “Rawalpindi Express” has been unveiled amidst an ongoing legal dispute between Shoaib Akhtar and the film’s production team.
The new trailer of “Rawalpindi Express” provides a sneak peek into the life of the cricketing legend, Shoaib Akhtar. The preview delves into poignant scenes portraying challenges such as adversity, struggles, and health issues. These trials and tribulations ultimately shaped Shoaib Akhtar into one of Pakistan’s most iconic cricket players. Gohar Rasheed takes on the formidable role of portraying Shoaib Akhtar in the film, capturing his imposing presence.
The biographical movie, scripted by Qaiser Nawaz and directed by Muhammad Faraq Qaiser, was filmed across 47 diverse locations during a span of 68 days. Accompanied by a suspenseful soundtrack, the teaser hints at the possibility that the biopic might take creative liberties to heighten the storytelling.
The cast of “Rawalpindi Express” includes notable actors like Faran Tahir, Saleem Mairaj, Raheela Agha, Salman Shahid, Shafqat Cheema, Usman Peerzada, Umer Aalam, Hamza Khawaja, Rabita Ali, Faiza Khan, Omair Rana, Adnan Shah Tipu, Rahim Pardesi, Hammad Siddique, and Baatin Farouqi. Notably, Gohar Rasheed also takes on the pivotal titular role in the movie.
Interestingly, Shoaib Akhtar himself recently obtained a restraining order against the film’s producers, raising questions about the authenticity of this cinematic adaptation of his life. This legal injunction halts both the film’s production and distribution until a verdict is reached in the ongoing legal battle.
Shoaib Akhtar further cautioned individuals involved in the project about the potential legal repercussions and harm to their reputation due to their participation in what he considers an unauthorized endeavor.
