enowned Pakistani actress, Saba Faisal, famed for her iconic roles as stern and formidable mother-in-laws, recently graced Nida Yasir’s morning show, Good Morning Pakistan. During her appearance, she opened up about her son Arsalan Faisal’s upcoming wedding and the valuable lessons she’s learned from past experiences.
Saba Faisal candidly expressed her intentions to approach this wedding differently from previous ones, emphasizing her commitment to ensuring it’s a memorable yet more streamlined affair. She shared her involvement in the wedding preparations, disclosing that she had handpicked designers for her daughter-in-law’s dresses. Renowned designers, Sheroo, and HSY, are entrusted with creating the bride and groom’s attire for the Walima ceremony. Despite her eagerness to design her daughter-in-law’s Barat dress, Saba Faisal revealed that her daughter-in-law preferred to handle it herself.
In a refreshing departure from previous extravagance, Saba Faisal stated her decision to minimize the number of functions surrounding the wedding. She revealed that her son Arsalan had proposed this cost-saving approach, given that the groom’s family would be traveling from Lahore to Karachi for the celebration. Saba Faisal, who had organized a staggering eleven functions at her last wedding, now intends to limit the festivities to Milad and Walima, post the main wedding event.
Saba Faisal commended her youngest son’s wisdom in suggesting these changes to save money instead of lavishly spending on multiple functions. Arsalan’s pragmatic approach resonates with Saba Faisal, underscoring the importance of prioritizing meaningful moments over extravagant celebrations.
