Popular Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt of Munna Bhai MBBS and Vaastav fame is now ready to set sail on a new direction a new journey that is beyond the big screen. The talented actor Sanjay Dutt Ventures into the Culinary World has planned to open his new restaurant in food and hospitality city of Dubai for the first time.
A restaurant named “Baba’s Kitchen” in honor of Dutt’s family nickname ‘Baba’ and personally signed cuisine from his world tours is assured to mark new horizons to the culinary world. The target market is the population of Dubai interested in quick and fine dining establishments; the cuisine offered will be Indian with touches of the world.
A Passion Project
While talking about his new project Dutt said: I wanted to give an outlet to my passion for food of course. “Since an early age, I have been surrounded by the food and cooking capabilities of my mother together with my sister. I aimed at establishing an environment through which people can get together, eat good food, and feel like they are part of a family,” said the actor during the launch event held in Dubai.
However much as the New York-based Dutt loves variety, this is reflected in the menu at Baba’s Kitchen, which comprises traditional staples, including butter chicken, biryani, pasta with a touch of spices, and tandoori tacos. The restaurant also has a privileged list of cocktails created by mixology specialists, to also further its theme of a lively food joint.
Star-Studded Opening Night
Baba’s Kitchen had its grand opening that looked more like the launch of a new Bollywood movie. Most of Dutt’s friends and co-stars were present for the actor and they traveled to Dubai to see him. The award night was attended by Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty both of whom appreciated Dutt for venturing into the business.
The restaurant’s interiors were done by one of the leading firms in Dubai and incorporate a rustic look with a touch more modernism. All the walls are covered with frames with the film posters of Dutt, which might feel soothing to the fans of the star.
