Zareen Umer recently revealed undisclosed details about the late Umer Sharif, the celebrated Pakistani actor, host, and comedian. He passed away in October 2021 due to various health issues. In a recent podcast appearance with Shaista Lodhi, Zareen shared tragic details about the death of Umer Sharif’s daughter, Hira.

According to Zareen, Hira faced kidney failure, and due to a new law, only family members could be donors. Despite Umer’s attempts to seek help, family members, including Hira’s brother Jawad, declined due to personal fears. Umer explored options abroad, even considering Sri Lanka, but avoided India due to his celebrity status. They eventually found a donor, Nabeel, set to marry Hira, who converted to Islam. However, complications arose during Hira’s treatment, leading to damaged AV fistula, and doctors suggested dialysis through the neck.
Amidst challenges, Umer insisted on Nabeel donating his kidney, causing tension. Hira’s mother opposed, advocating for alternative donors. Despite turmoil, Umer significantly contributed to Hira’s treatment, providing two crores, noted by his family.

Zareen emphasized Umer’s deep love for Hira, revealing he found it unbearable to live after her tragic demise. She disclosed Umer’s emotional reactions, mentioning he would often cry while watching sentimental dramas and commercials, singling out Mahira Khan’s Molty Foam commercial.
In his last days, Umer faced immense emotional turmoil, shattered by the family’s treatment and the loss of his beloved daughter. This narrative paints a poignant picture of the challenges the iconic comedian endured during his final days.
