If you’re anything like us, you too must have wondered how celebrities manage to look so great? Do they work out all the time ? Or are they literally living off of salads and water? On the contrary, your favorite artists are just like us and it all comes down to creating a balance. Join Social Diary as we peek into the wholesome living of the well-known!

What is your philosophy on health and fitness?
A healthy lifestyle makes for a healthy and happy life. Invest in your body rather than aiming for expensive, designer dresses. After all, you only get one body to live your life in.

Would you call yourself a health freak?
No, not at all. I eat well, I sweat often and I laugh much without losing the fun along the way.

Any fad diets that worked for you?
Thankfully I have never followed any crazy, fad diets. I train well and I rest when I want to. Fruits and juices are an essential part of my diet.

Eating Healthy or Working Out? What works better for you?
Working out for sure. I’m a big foodie so I often indulge in unhealthy foods. For me exercise isn’t a punishment. Rather I look forward to it everyday.

Your wellness routine before going to bed?
Definitely reading a book or playing with my son. Or listening to my favorite music.

The first thing you aim to do right after waking up?
I hug my son and read Surah Yaseen

How do you keep your workout interesting at home?
I don’t workout at home usually. But I do make my workouts interesting by making them enjoyable, doable and sustainable. From pilates to HIT, to my treadmill at home- what works for me is sticking to a certain plan.

Do you believe in cheat days? If so, what’s the main item on the menu?
I have plenty of cheat days in a month. From chicken biryani to burgers, rasgullas and gulab jamuns. For me, I don’t deprive myself and eat what I like to eat.

Where does your inspiration to living fit comes from?
It comes from within. It’s about falling in love with taking care of your body and mental health. Make yourself a priority and the rest will follow.

What remains your favorite healthy food/recipe
A quinoa salad with feta and cranberries. Or Greek yogurt. In beverages, I love fresh grapefruit or orange juice. My favorite detox is lemon-cucumber-mint detox water.

When out with friends, where do you often like to dine?
Okra remains my favorite hangout with my friends.
Do you follow and adapt meditation tactics in your daily routine
Meditation for me symbolizes anything which de-stresses me and makes me happy. It can be listening to my favorite music or going for walks at the beach. Even reading or limiting screen time.
Your views on adapting superficial standards of beauty? How can these be rectified?
Unfortunately the struggle for superficial beauty standards directly contributes towards anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. Even self-harm and suicide. So rectify this by accepting yourself as you are and not comparing yourself to others. Let go of the relentless pressure to look a certain way.
What are your picks for
the following perfect meals?
Breakfast: Fresh juice- grapefruit/orange or whatever is in season
Pre-workout: Couple of nuts like almonds, walnuts or cashew nuts
Post-workout: Lemon water with a little of salt
Lunch: Tuna sandwich on a multigrain bread
Dinner: Daal chawal with achar
Guilty pleasures: Brain masala
