Get your hair game strong with these amazing DIY Aloe Vera masks!

rom fighting fizziness to strengthening the hair, aloe Vera gel is the one-stop solution to most of your hair problems. The thorny plant that is probably lying in your garden has more benefits than you are aware of. It is rich in nutrients, vitamins and amino acids that are favorable to boost your hair’s health.

Treating your hair with aloe vera regularly will not only make it stronger but also softer and highly lustrous.  When combined with other ingredients, we can make several types of aloe vera hair masks.

Find out which aloe vera hair mask suits your hair the best and the how to DIY them with basic ingredients.

This mask is used to restore the shine of your hair and helps in getting rid of dandruff. It is rich in vitamins and minerals which will keep the scalp healthy and provide deep nourishment from within.

1. Aloe Vera and Yoghurt Hair Mask

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp aloe vera gel
  • 2 tbsp honey


Preparation Time: 
5-10 minutes

Directions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients and apply from roots to hair tips.
  2. Then massage the scalp for 10 minutes, and leave it on for 1 hour.
  3. Rinse it off with cold water. Avoid using shampoo and hairdryer after.

 

Frequency: It is advisable to use this mask twice a month.

2. Aloe Vera and Coconut Oil Hair Mask

This mask is the best to boost hair health and can give long and thick hair. It will act as a conditioner for dull and damaged hair, lending softness and shine.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp aloe vera gel
  • 2 tbsp virgin coconut oil

 

Preparation Time: 40 minutes

Directions:

  1. Mix aloe vera gel and coconut oil and cook this mixture on low flame for 30 minutes.
  2. Then get it to room temperature and massage it gently on the scalp with fingers.
  3. Next, comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb which will spread the pack evenly on the hair.
  4. Then cover it with an old towel and after 3 hours wash it with a mild shampoo and conditioner.

 

Frequency: Use twice a week for best results.

3. Aloe Vera and Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Mask

Aloe Vera and Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Mask for flaky and itchy scalp.

 

This mask is rewarding for anyone who has a flaky and itchy scalp. Apple Cider Vinegar is also said to be a natural remedy for dandruff. This mask will also give a boost of hydration to the hair.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup aloe vera gel
  • 2 tbsp organic apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey (for dry ends)


Preparation Time: 
3-5 minutes

Directions:

  1. Whisk the ingredients together and apply generously to your hair and scalp.
  2. Let it stay on for 20-30 minutes and then wash it off with an anti-dandruff shampoo.

 

Frequency: This mask must be applied every other week.

4. Aloe Vera and Coconut Milk Hair Mask

Aloe vera and coconut milk hair mask to curb premature greying and promote hair growth.

 

This mask will penetrate through the scalp and hair and provide deep nourishment from within. This acts as a conditioner, promotes hair growth and curbs premature graying.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp aloe vera gel
  • 3 tbsp coconut milk
  • 1 tsp of coconut oil


Preparation Time: 
5-10 minutes

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients until they have a smooth consistency.
  2. Then massage it on your scalp and work down the entire hair length.
  3. Wait for 45-60 minutes then rinse off with cold water to prevent fizziness.


Frequency: 
This mask yields the best results if used twice a week.

5. Aloe Vera, Olive Oil and Egg Hair Mask

Aloe vera, olive oil and egg hair mask to strengthen the hair follicles,

An egg is very rich in protein and fats this acts as a natural conditioner.  Olive Oil contains Vitamin A and E which strengthens the hair follicles. This is one of the best home remedies for aloe vera.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp aloe vera gel
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg yolk

 

Preparation Time: 10-15 minutes

Directions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients to make a smooth and consistent paste.
  2. Apply the mixture only on the scalp and massage it for 10 minutes.
  3. Then wear a shower cap and leave it for 30 minutes.
  4. Finally, wash it off with cool water and a mild shampoo.


Frequency: 
Use it once a month.
