Vigo Owned by JDC’s Zafar Abbas Hits Two Motorcyclists in Karachi’s Ancholi
In a disturbing incident on 7 July 2025, a Vigo registered to JDC Foundation’s founder Syed Zafar Abbas struck two young motorcyclists in Karachi’s Ancholi area, leaving them critically injured. The vehicle, reportedly speeding, hit the boys and fled the scene.
Eyewitnesses say the Vigo driver escaped immediately, but the number plate came off due to the impact—leading locals to identify the vehicle as belonging to Zafar Abbas. Within minutes, Abbas arrived with his team. Shockingly, some of his aides allegedly stopped bystanders from recording the scene and even snatched mobile phones, raising questions about an attempted cover-up.
Victims in Critical Condition
The injured, Abdul Ahad (18) and Hanif (19)—cousins from Azizabad Mohammadi Colony—were rushed to a private hospital. Abdul Ahad remains on a ventilator. Zafar Abbas later arranged their transfer to another facility on Stadium Road.
In his statement, Abbas claimed his office boy was behind the wheel and blamed the accident on the motorbike’s lack of headlights.
Police Investigation Underway
Samanabad police have confirmed possession of the Vigo’s registration, driver details, and the motorcycle’s record. Statements from the victims are pending due to their medical state. Families have requested focus on treatment before legal action.
