A major Youm-e-Quds rally will be taken out today after Friday prayers. The procession will start from Numaish Chowrangi and conclude at Amma Tower. Roads Closed for Youm-e-Quds rally Security
Several major thoroughfares are closed in both directions. These include Mai Kolachi Road, MT Khan Road, Boat Basin, and Jinnah Bridge . The road from PIDC to Jinnah Bridge is also block. Sections of MA Jinnah Road will remain shut due to the rally .
Alternate Routes for Commuters
Traffic police have announced specific diversions. Officers are deployed at key intersections to guide motorists .
From Teen Hatti to Tower
Motorists travelling from Teen Hatti towards Tower have two options :
- Option 1: Take the route from G- Mandir to Soldier Bazar. Proceed via Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Holy Family Hospital .
- Option 2: Turn left from Binnori signal. Head towards PP Chowrangi through Corridor-3 .
From Nazimabad to Tower
Those coming from Nazimabad and heading to Tower can follow this route :
- Travel via Lasbela.
- Turn right onto Nishtar Road.
- Pass through Ranchore Lane.
- Continue through Civil Hospital to reach your destination .
Additional Diversions / Rally Route Plan
Traffic from Boat Basin heading towards MA Jinnah Road will be turn back via a U-turn . Vehicles from PIDC towards Jinnah Bridge will reroute via Khajoor Chowk . Traffic coming from Jinnah Bridge will divert towards I.I. Chundrigar Road .
Rally Details and Public Holiday
The Youm-e-Quds rally is expected to start around 2pm to 3pm . It will move from Numaish Chowrangi to Tibet Centre. It may then transition into a public gathering . Scholars, community leaders, and political figures will address the participants . The Sindh government has declared a public holiday today across the province . This facilitates observance of Al-Quds Day.
