Inspection Tour and Measures
Deputy Mayor Murad conducted an inspection tour of various areas in Karachi after the initial showers on Thursday. He visited Malir, Kala Board, Model Colony, Airport, Metropole, Sharia Faisal, Nursery, and Karsaz. He reviewed the rainwater drainage efforts by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and town administrations.
Murad directed the Water Corporation to deploy machinery at key underpasses and highways to prevent waterlogging. He reported no standing rainwater in any part of the city or on main highways. This reflects the efficient response by the KMC and District Municipal Corporations (DMC) staff.
Public Cooperation and Safety Measures
The Deputy Mayor expressed satisfaction with the current situation. He praised the active and alert response of the municipal staff.
