SRCC announced its “Art for Life – Art for Gaza” artists’ camp scheduled for April 30 to May 7, 2025, at the Silk Road Culture Centre launches in Islamabad. The initiative demonstrates solidarity with the Gaza inhabitants through artistic activities.
SRCC Chairman Jamal Shah unveiled the project while speaking at the April 23, 2025, ceremony and briefing, which he described as “a poetic act of remembrance.” The camp serves as a tribute to the dignified, resilient heritage of Gaza rather than acting as a protest against anything.

Through this initiative, the SRCC will become an artistic and intellectual center that gathers national and international artists and cultural personalities into one collaborative space. Participants of this event will conduct workshops in painting, sculpture, calligraphy, poetry, short films, dance, music, theater, and installation art. The project creates a platform for peaceful solidarity demonstration towards Gaza by using art as an instrument to communicate support that transcends verbal messaging.
Since its inaugural occasion in December 2024, the Silk Road Culture Centre launches has its mission of facilitating cultural exchange by hosting various events. Through its exhibitions, the center showcases traditional heritage from Silk Road countries to build appreciation for cultural diversity in the coming years.
Through “Art for Life – Art for Gaza,” art demonstrates its ability to connect communities while showcasing shared humanity, which allows artistic voices to support victims of war through creative expressions.
