Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, known as the “Sleeping Prince,” has died at 36. He spent 20 years in a coma after a car crash in London when he was just 15. The accident happened in 2005 while he studied at a military college in the UK.
A Life on Hold After the Crash
The crash left Prince Al-Waleed with serious brain injuries. Doctors placed him in a coma. He was later moved to a hospital in Riyadh, where he remained on life support for two decades.

His father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, refused to give up. He shared videos of his son moving fingers or raising a hand. Each clip gave people hope. During holidays like Ramadan and Eid, the family decorated his hospital room and prayed for a miracle.

The prince passed away on July 19, 2025. His funeral took place on July 20 in Riyadh. His story became a symbol of love, faith, and strength across the world.
