Doctors Say Zahir Jaffer Is Mentally Fit
In a recent update that has sparked public anger, Zahir Jaffer, the main convict in the Noor Muqaddam murder case, has been declared mentally and psychologically fit. This decision came from a medical board at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
Medical Exam at Adiala Jail
The test took place three days ago inside Adiala Jail, where Jaffer is serving his sentence. A two-member team from PIMS—experts in psychology and neurology—carried out the evaluation after a request from the jail superintendent.
Findings Confirm His Mental Stability
Doctors found no signs of mental illness or psychological issues. His reactions, emotions, and behavior appeared completely normal. These results leave no room for mental health defenses.
Why Test His Sanity at All?
Many are asking the same question: Why is Zahir Jaffer’s sanity even being questioned? He has already been convicted in a case that shocked the nation. Shouldn’t the focus now be on justice for Noor Muqaddam, rather than re-examining the killer’s mental state?
