Another TikToker Dead — Who Killed Sumeera Rajput?
The tragic death of TikTok creator Sumeera Rajput from Bago Wah, Ghotki, has raised urgent questions about the safety of female content creators in Pakistan. On July 25, the 30-year-old was found dead under suspicious circumstances, just as she was building a digital presence with over 58,000 followers and 1 million likes.
Forced Marriage and Allegations of Murder
Her 15-year-old daughter claims Sumeera was being pressured into a forced marriage, and that those involved allegedly gave her poisonous tablets. Among the arrested suspects is her ex-husband, Ali Rajput. Shockingly, her body was transported to the hospital on a loader rickshaw, a grim reflection of the lack of medical and societal support.
While initial reports show no visible violence, toxicology tests are pending. No FIR has been registered yet, raising alarm over procedural delays.
When Will This Stop?
Sumeera’s case follows the recent killing of Sana Yousaf, a teenage TikToker from Islamabad. The pattern is chilling: female influencers in Pakistan are being silenced—harassed, threatened, and now, murdered.
This is more than a headline. It’s a wake-up call. Demand justice. Demand protection.
