Growing up in Lahore was a delightful experience. I was always an adventurous and curious child, constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities. My parents supported my dreams wholeheartedly, instilling in me the belief that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. During my childhood, I was fascinated by airplanes and often watched them soar in the sky, igniting a passion for aviation that would shape my future.
What made you decide to become a pilot?
The decision to become a pilot was a natural progression of my fascination with airplanes. As I grew older, my passion for aviation only intensified. I dreamt of flying among the clouds, exploring the world from the cockpit, and experiencing the thrill of being up in the air. The idea of defying gravity and having a career that allowed me to travel and connect with people from diverse backgrounds was incredibly enticing.
What is the process of becoming a pilot? Specially in Pakistan.
Becoming a pilot in Pakistan involves several steps. Firstly, one needs to enroll in a reputable flight school to undergo flight training. This training includes theoretical knowledge and practical flying hours. Aspiring pilots must then clear a series of exams to obtain various licenses, such as the Private Pilot License (PPL) and Commercial Pilot License (CPL). The process requires dedication, commitment, and passing rigorous examinations. After gaining experience and flight hours, pilots can pursue advanced certifications and even transition to flying commercial airlines.

Effective communication and teamwork are essential for working with flight crews and air traffic control. Adaptability and calmness under pressure are also crucial when facing challenging weather conditions or emergencies.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing the aviation industry today?

Have you ever faced a difficult situation while flying? If so, how did you handle it? Any interesting bird stories?
Throughout my flying career, I’ve faced a few challenging situations, from unexpected weather changes to technical issues. During such times, relying on my training and remaining composed helped me make the best decisions to ensure the safety of myself and passengers. As for bird stories, I once encountered a flock of birds during takeoff, but quick action and precise maneuvering ensured a safe departure.
