Humayun Gains Praises from The Crown Co-Star
Pakistan’s superstar, Humayun Saeed will be seen as a key character in Netflix hit series, The crown. He’s become the first ever actor from Pakistan who landed a well-recognized role in a Netflix original. Saeed is set to play Dr. Hasnat Khan, a British – Pakistani heart surgeon. It is presumed that Dr. Hasnat and Diana had a secret relationship for 2 years. Diana had described Mr. Khan as ‘Mr Wonderful’ and by her friends the “The love of her life”. We might catch some glimpses of their on-screen brewing chemistry in the fifth installment of The Crown.Elizabeth Debicki, who plays Princess Diana in the fifth season of the Crown is all praises for her co-star, Humayun Saeed “I absolutely adored Humayun — he was such a lovely actor, and such a beautiful person,” she said in an interview. “You never know how that’s going to feel when you’re playing things like that with an actor. So I was very lucky to have him, and I think he does such a beautiful job.” The show will stream on Netflix on November 9.
Meesha Croons for ‘Hush Hush’!
Meesha Shafi’s soulful voice got her a place in Amazon Prime India’s new show Hush Hush and we couldn’t be prouder! The track Mere Mahru’s music video features the daily lives of Juhi Chawla, Soha Ali Khan, Kritika Kamra, Karishma Tanna and Shahana Goswami playing to Meesha’s belting notes. It was actually her Coke Studio number with brother Faris Shafi that landed her the gig. Mere Mahru was finally released on YouTube for the public after the series debuted on the OTT platform in late September. Tanuja Chandra, the director for Hush Hush, took to Instagram to share her experience of when she first heard Meesha’s voice. “Arijit Datta sent it [Mere Mahru] to me as a voice note, I loved it. I’m so happy to have it in Hush Hush, it’s kind of the beating heart of the series,” she wrote.
