What’s a better way to end the year than recounting all the fashion instances that have blown our socks off for being either mind blowing or simply too ridiculous. Both on the Indian and international front, 2023 was, to borrow from the Gen Z parlance (although ’90s was still a prevalent trend throughout), giving fashion. Whether because of deliberate search or by virtue of social media algorithms, these fashion stories have permeated all of our feeds and stayed there until the next one came along to take its place. Here’s 2023 wrapped in fashion stories that made the best headlines.

He became the third Indian designer to showcase on the official Paris Haute Couture Week calendar. Shunya, the name of his collection combined his fashion prowess of making sculptural one-off pieces with intricate Indian embroidery.
