Good-Bye, facial bloating & puffy eyes! Here are some tips for a fresh & bright look!

Oh, the horror of waking up with a puffy face!

There’s nothing that can ruin a morning more than waking up, taking a look in the mirror, and realizing your face is bloated. It’s also called ‘sushi face’.

There are plenty of reasons for you to wake up with a bloated face including eating a high-sodium meal the previous day, or poor sleep, and even stress.

Luckily, there are a few easy tricks you can do to quickly de-puff your face when swelling does strike!

Avoid Late Night Snacking 

If you have an important event the next morning or a date you can’t wait for, it’d be best to avoid refined and processed carbs, processed foods, and dairy the night before. This includes ramen, sushi, milk, fries, chips, alcohol etc.

Work Out Or Go For A Walk

Swelling may occur if your body retains too much sodium and water. One of the easiest ways to get rid of excess sodium is by sweating it out. Try hitting the gym or going for a brisk 40-minute walk.

Get More Sleep 

This one’s a no-brainer! We’ve all noticed bags under our eyes after pulling an all-nighter. Sleep deprivation causes inflammation which results in swelling. Ensure you get at least 8 hours of sound sleep.

Consume More Water 

Here’s the thing—your face holds onto water as a response to the dehydrating effects. Drinking adequate water throughout the day will help the cells release the stored-up water and combat puffiness.

Gua Sha Stone & Facial Yoga 

A trick we swear by is using the gua sha stone as it boosts circulation, helps with lymphatic drainage, and gives you a chiseled look, almost instantly.  Additionally, incorporating facial exercises into your routines will also help strengthen muscles which in turn will make your face look toned and leaner.

Cold Compress & Ice Water Dunks 

By now, you must have come across videos of celebs and influencers on the ‘Gram dunking their face in a bowl of ice water. Well, it’s nothing but to help with a puffy face! Applying a cold compress on your face or opting for an ice water bowl instantly constricts blood vessels and reduces swelling instantly.
