TikTok removed 24.95 million videos in Pakistan during the first quarter of 2025. These videos broke the platform’s Community Guidelines. Fast and Proactive Content Removal
According to TikTok’s Q1 2025 report, the platform proactively flagged and removed 99.4% of videos violating guidelines in Pakistan. In other words, TikTok did not wait for users to report these videos. Furthermore, 95.8% of the flagged videos were taken down within 24 hours of posting. As a result, harmful content spreads less across the platform.
TikTok’s Global Efforts and Types of Removed Content
Globally, TikTok removed 211 million videos from January to March 2025. This equals about 0.9% of all uploaded content worldwide. Most removals—over 184 million—happened through automated detection. After human review, TikTok restored around 7.5 million videos. The removed content mostly involved misinformation (45.5%), sensitive or mature themes (30.1%), safety violations (11.5%), privacy breaches (15.6%), and AI-edited media (13.8%).
