Toronto’s CN Tower turned icy blue. It wasn’t a weather event. It was Drake. The 553-metre landmark appeared completely frozen as Drake Releases ‘Iceman’. Seventy-five projectors made it happen. The total light output? Over 2.5 million lumens.
CN Tower ‘Freezes’ Over as Drake Releases ‘Iceman’ Album
Hundreds of fans gathered at the base. They watched in awe.
One fan said, “You can’t buy moments like this”. Three Albums. One Night. Drake didn’t stop at one album. At midnight, he dropped three projects :
- Iceman (18 tracks)
- Maid of Honour (14 tracks)
- Habibti (11 tracks)
That’s 43 new songs. Over two and a half hours of music.

A Visual Album Like No Other
The livestream, “Iceman Episode 4,” was more than music. It was theatre. Drake performed at iconic Toronto locations :
- Inside City Hall — sitting at the mayor’s desk
- Atop the CN Tower itself
- Inside the Brass Rail Tavern strip club
There was even a car-chase skit. Comedian Shane Gillis and Drake’s son Adonis starred in it .
Emotional Moments on the Album
The music hits deep. On one track, Drake reveals his father, Dennis Graham, has been diagnosed with cancer. He also reflects on his feud with Kendrick Lamar. It’s raw. Moreover it’s personal. It’s real.
A Weeks-Long Marketing Campaign
Drake didn’t just drop an album. He built anticipation for weeks. The Ice Block Stunt. A massive ice structure appeared in a downtown Toronto parking lot.
The night ended with a 10-minute fireworks display. It launched from Harbourfront Centre over the water. The City of Toronto confirmed it was part of a private video shoot.
This marks Drake’s return to solo studio work. His last solo album was “For All the Dogs” in 2023. Three years of waiting. Three albums at once.
