Pakistani singer Hasan Raheem made an emotional plea to Indian fans after a tragic attack in Pakistan left 26 civilians dead and 46 injured. The singer expressed sorrow and shock at how some Indian social media users reacted with celebration. His message focused on peace, empathy, and a shared humanity beyond borders.
Artists Divided by Nationality, Not Talent
In his heartfelt statement, Raheem revealed that Indian musicians had been pressured not to work with him simply because of his Pakistani nationality. This rejection, he explained, happened long before the current crisis. Raheem questioned the root of this hate, stating that Pakistanis have endured wars and loss just like Indians.
“Where does this hate come from? Our mothers have lost sons too,” he wrote.
A Call for Unity Through Art
Raheem urged both countries to choose understanding over animosity. He condemned not just the attack, but the response from individuals who glorified violence. He believes music can be a bridge when politics divides.
