S.D What motivated you to enter the world of acting and reality television, and how has your journey been so far?
Aruba Mirza: Honestly, acting has always been a part of me. From a young age, I was drawn to storytelling, emotions, and characters. It felt natural to pursue this passion. As for reality TV, that was a different beast altogether! I wanted to challenge myself, see how I would handle unscripted situations. And connect with people on a raw, real level. The journey so far has been a rollercoaster—intense, fulfilling, and constantly evolving.
S.D Can you share your experience of *Tamasha* and what it felt like to win?
Aruba Mirza: Tamasha was wild! You’re thrown into this environment where everything is heightened—emotions, challenges, competition. It was mentally and physically draining, but it also taught me so much about resilience and teamwork. Winning was surreal! It felt like all the hard work, sleepless nights, and pushing past my limits finally paid off. But more than the trophy, it was about proving to myself that I could do it.
S.D How do you prepare for your roles in dramas, and what is your process for getting into character?
Aruba Mirza: I take my time with every character. First, I dig deep into the script—understanding the character’s backstory, their motivations, what makes them tick. Then, I try to find elements in my own life that relate to the character, even if they’re small. I believe in building from within. Sometimes, I’ll spend days just observing people who remind me of the character. It’s all about blending authenticity with performance.
S.D What challenges did you face in the entertainment industry, and how did you overcome them?
Aruba Mirza: The entertainment industry is tough. There’s competition, constant scrutiny, and sometimes rejection, which can feel personal. Early on, I faced doubts—people questioning if I was right for a certain role or if I had the “look.” Over time, I learned to trust myself and my abilities, to tune out the noise and focus on improving my craft. Perseverance is key.
S.D How has winning a reality show impacted your career and opened up new opportunities for you?
Aruba Mirza: Winning Tamasha was definitely a turning point. It put me in front of a whole new audience and made people take notice of my versatility. Suddenly, I was being approached for projects that weren’t just acting-focused but also ones where my personality could shine through, like hosting gigs and brand endorsements. It’s opened doors I hadn’t even considered before.
S.D Who are your biggest inspirations in the acting world, and how have they influenced your work?
Aruba Mirza: There are so many! I’ve always admired actors like Meryl Streep and Saba Qamar. The way they immerse themselves into every role, it’s inspiring. They never shy away from difficult or unconventional characters, and I try to bring that same fearlessness into my own work. They’ve taught me that versatility is the true mark of a great actor.
S.D What message do you hope to convey through your acting, and how do you choose the projects you work on?
Aruba Mirza: I aim to tell stories that resonate with people, whether it’s making them laugh, cry, or think. I’m drawn to projects that have substance, something that leaves an impact. Whether it’s a drama or a more light-hearted role, I want the audience to walk away feeling something. I also love working on projects that highlight strong, complex women—those roles are close to my heart.
S.D What do you enjoy most about being in the spotlight, and what aspects do you find challenging?
Aruba Mirza: The best part about being in the spotlight is the connection with fans. Their support and love push me to keep doing what I do. But with that comes the pressure to always be “on,” always perfect. That can be tough, especially when you’re having an off day or dealing with personal issues. Balancing public life with private life is a challenge, but it’s all part of the journey!
S.D Can you tell us about any upcoming projects or roles you are excited about?
Aruba Mirza: I’m really excited about a telefilm I recently shot with Umer Alam—it’s a romantic story, and it was such a joy to work on. It’s going to air soon on Bol Channel, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch it! On top of that, I’m currently reading a script for a negative lead role I’ve been offered for ARY Digital. It’s a really intense character, completely different from anything I’ve done before, so I’m looking forward to exploring that side of acting!
S.D How do you engage with your fans, and what do their support and feedback mean to you?
Aruba Mirza: Engaging with my fans is one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. I try to respond to them on social media as much as possible, whether it’s through comments, DMs, or even live sessions. Their support means everything to me. It’s such a humbling feeling to know that people out there connect with my work and take the time to reach out. Their feedback, both the love and the constructive criticism, helps me grow. It’s like having this extended family that’s always rooting for you, and that kind of energy pushes me to keep giving my best.
