Some may argue that ‘happily ever afters’ are clichéd, encapsulating moments that happen only once. Yet, for the believers in perpetual joy, ongoing opportunities, and the magic of second chances, life unfolds as a dynamic odyssey rather than a static journey. Meet Kiran Ashfaque, a spirited soul who sees life as a thrilling adventure—one that may snatch moments away, but is equally adept at bestowing unexpected gifts. Join us for an exclusive conversation with Kiran as she shares her story with SD, where every twist and turn reveals the beauty of what it means to have a well-lived life.

Read On:

SD: Your wedding came as quite a surprise- please share with us how you met your new husband and when you felt he was the one.

Kiran: You know what they say, listen to your parents because they know what’s best for you. This time, I did listen to them and followed what they had arranged for me. My marriage is purely arranged and I’m so glad for it.

SD: With those sending you wishes, some are being extremely harsh with their judgmental remarks- how are you coping with that, and what’s your response to those who are being negative to this new phase in your life

Kiran: I’m so grateful for all the love, kindness, and wishes coming our way. Coupled with the love from my husband, my family and his family, all the goodness and positivity around me is so strong that I don’t even feel the harshness and the judgment of some. As they say, “logo ka toh kaam hai kehna…”

SD: Share with our readers why you chose to go quiet for a while after your divorce from Imran Ashraf?

Kiran: I didn’t marry with the intention to get divorced, therefore it’s extremely difficult for me to process everything that had happened. Matter of fact I’m still processing it as it took a major toll on me but I know I have to be strong for my son. I want to set an example for my son and many other young girls out there that this is not the end; and you have to come back stronger, although it takes time to digest and seek the excellence of Allah SWT, and the only way to obverse and learn and grow out of it is by staying silent, because empty vessels makes the most sound.

SD: How did you cope with the harsh judgment and assumptions of the public over the dissolution of your marriage?

Kiran: I gave them the benefit of the doubt. If only they knew what I had faced they wouldn’t have these harsh judgments and assumptions but well I won’t even wish that upon my worst enemies.

SD: How important is it to you for a person to invest time in one’s self-actualization?

Kiran: Investing time in self-actualization is crucial for personal growth, fulfillment, and a deeper understanding of oneself. It contributes to overall well-being and can positively impact various aspects of life.

SD: Moving on to the work front, what projects are you currently working on?

Kiran: I’m doing modeling these  days and I have a few things in the pipeline which I will reveal  with  time

SD: How do you plan to choose your drama series and is there a specific genre you wish to explore?

Kiran: I believe in character and the number of scenes I get in each drama.

SD: Would you ever consider venturing into movies?

Kiran:  I would love to but sadly filmmakers only seem to be interested in signing big names.

SD: A director you wish to work with and a film of theirs you loved?

Kiran: Nabeel Qureshi and Bilal Lashari. I wish I could’ve gotten to play a role in The Legend of Maula Jatt.

SD: What has been the constant source of energy for you amid difficult times?

Kiran: Allah SWT as well as my parents and my son.

SD: Aside from acting, what other passions and interests are you pursuing?

Kiran: Modeling and my business

SD: Making a comeback after taking a break, do you feel it has helped you to visualize what you wish to attain in the field of entertainment?

Kiran: My vision has always been very clear, it’s just a matter of time.

SD: How do you plan to venture into 2024?

Kiran: Settled and content.
