Headstrong and committed to her craft, Rimsha Waheed is one of those talented digital creators whose passion for fashion and vogue styling really stands out. Defining the era of making your mark in the world of content creation, she shared more with Social Diary magazine on her journey, why she is committed to it as strongly she is to her personal aspirations, and what more she is looking forward to. SD: Share a little with us about what it was like growing up in your childhood home?
Rimsha: I consider growing up in my childhood home as still one of the most memorable phases of my life. I can’t forget playing in my baba’s arms. It was truly precious in every way.
SD: How did you venture into the field of becoming a digital creator
Rimsha: Well, If I look back, since my childhood I always had the passion of keeping myself updated with the latest trends as well as what clothing styles are happening So it all started from there and it was a persistent interest that only grew with time.
SD: Were there any major skills you had to grasp to make your mark on this platform?
Rimsha: All you need is the ability to learn fast. It is also important to have a strong mindset for content creation and yes knowing the dynamics of social media management is also important.
SD: What kind of content do you create for your videos?
Rimsha: Most of my content is related to fashion and clothing. That is what I am extremely interested in.
SD: How do the ideas come to you?
Rimsha: I always look for something which urges my fashion sense and feeds into my aesthetic ability to grow.
SD: How do you balance your work and home responsibilities?
Rimsha: Despite how my work is my passion, when it comes to managing your house, you cannot skip your home responsibilities even if you are the biggest celebrity. We need to manage time in ways that allow us to create a strong balance.
SD: Would you ever consider venturing into acting?
Rimsha: That is something I am not interested in at all.
SD: Do you think there is healthy competition in the digital field?
Rimsha: Nowadays everyone is jumping into the digital field. It has become quite an accessible platform. However, it is very tough to maintain your following and provide competitive content to followers. However, I just like being in my own lane and doing my own things with no competition. I am not willing to consider this field as a rat race I need to go forward in order to prove myself in some way.
SD: What is the one thing you wish to change about the perception of women in Pakistan becoming an influencer/digital creator?
Rimsha: I believe women should also be given equal chances as men to become an influencer and serve as major inspiration for their fellow women. Women empowerment is very necessary and an important factor we need to focus on and highlight.
SD: What are your aspirations for 2023?
Rimsha: Spend more time with family, live life to the fullest, and become the best digital creator in the whole of Pakistan.
