Veteran actress Hina Dilpazeer has recently shed light on her challenging experience working on the popular ARY drama Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah. Appearing on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, Excuse Me, Dilpazeer disclosed that despite playing 25 distinct characters on the show, she was only compensated for a single role.

Initially contracted to portray three or four characters, Dilpazeer found herself taking on additional roles as the show’s producers struggled to find other actors. “They kept asking me to play more characters,” Dilpazeer recounted. “How many different faces could I possibly make?” Despite her reluctance, she ended up embodying a staggering 25 characters, including five male roles.
Dilpazeer described one particularly taxing episode where she played all characters simultaneously. “It took us two to three days to shoot that episode. There were three versions of me sitting in a rickshaw. I didn’t even watch the episode out of fear,” she laughed. This scenario highlights the immense strain and creative challenge she faced during the production.

When asked why she didn’t request additional payment, Dilpazeer explained that each time she broached the subject, she was met with the producer’s tales of financial hardship. Despite these difficulties, she chose not to pursue further negotiations. The abrupt cancellation of the show, after nearly 400 episodes, left many unanswered questions. Dilpazeer mentioned that the show’s termination came as a shock, with no clear explanation provided by the network.

Hina Dilpazeer’s revelations offer a glimpse into the often-unseen struggles faced by actors in the industry, particularly those who are overworked and underpaid. Her experience on Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah underscores the need for fair treatment and adequate compensation in the entertainment sector.
