SD: How did you decide on becoming a model?
Sehar: I actually never thought of pursuing modelling, it just happened. I was in my final year of Fashion Design at PIFD and opportunities came by so I decided to give it a shot. Fate works in mysterious ways.
SD:What was it like growing in your childhood home?
Sehar: I’m blessed to be brought up in a very loving and nurturing environment. My parents have been a constant source of support and encouragement.
SD: One of the most important lessons you learned when you were young which helps you even today?
Sehar: To have strong faith in Allah and His plans.
SD: Any major setbacks you faced while pursuing modeling?
Sehar: Fortunately, I faced none.
SD: How was your experience on your first shooting campaign?
Sehar: My first campaign was for Fahad Hussayn and it was grand in every way. As a newcomer I was welcomed wholeheartedly, but I was completely motivated and applauded with how I presented myself. It was a dream come true.
SD: Do you feel our fashion industry is progressing in the right direction?
Sehar: I think we’re taking a step forward. It’s slow but steady. I’m optimistic about the future and see great things unfolding.
SD: Do you think there is unnecessary competition?
Sehar: To be honest I’ve never felt any competition. Is it tough to stay relevant? Definitely, it is but at the same time it opens room for self evolution.
SD: Would you ever consider venturing into doing movies anytime soon?
Sehar: You never know.
SD: How do you keep yourself away from trolling and social media negativity?
Sehar: I tend to respond to hate with love in hopes that someday the love will find its way back.
SD: Your message to those who wish to enter the world of modeling?
Sehar: Modelling is a lifestyle. One must join only if they’re willing to invest completely. A model has to work for long tiresome hours in harsh uncomfortable conditions and circumstances, they have to constantly work on themselves along the way. Most importantly, there is no overnight success.
