SD: When did you feel you wanted to venture into the world of glam?
Urooba: Probably when I was a kid. I would intently watch my mom do her makeup. It got a major boost when I started college; I started buying makeup products and began doing my own makeup as well. This is when I became fully acquainted with the world of glam and how it’s a fun way to express yourself!
SD: How important a role does applying makeup play in reflecting confidence?
Urooba: To be honest, applying makeup can definitely boost confidence! It allows you to enhance your features and express yourself creatively. Also, when you feel good about how you look, it can positively impact the way you perceive the world. But remember, confidence comes from within, and makeup is just one way to enhance it.
SD: Was there any professional training you attained while pursuing your makeup profession?
Urooba: No, I’m a self-learner. I saw different tutorials on Instagram and YouTube and then I started applying makeup on myself and this has led me to become a successful makeup artist. But yeah I have attended a few masterclasses as well just to polish my skills.
SD: 3 basic makeup tips everyone should know?
Urooba: Here are three basic makeup tips everyone should know:
Prep your skin and skincare: Before applying makeup, make sure to cleanse and moisturize your skin.
Find your perfect foundation match: Choosing the right foundation shade for your skin tone is crucial. See if it blends seamlessly with your natural skin color.
Enhance your eyes: One simple way to make your eyes pop is by curling your lashes and applying mascara. It instantly opens up your eyes and gives them a more defined look.
SD: How important is it to you to manage your role as a content creator while being a makeup artist?
Urooba: As a content creator and makeup artist, managing both roles effectively is super important to me! It allows me to showcase my creativity, share makeup tips and tutorials, and connect with fellow beauty enthusiasts. It’s a juggling act, but I love every minute of it.
SD: How do you see makeup trends changing in 2024?
Urooba: It’s too difficult to predict about the future but I think people will love to have dewy, glowy, radiant makeup in 2024. We’ll have to wait and see.
SD: A celebrity whose skin is the freshest and glows naturally?
Urooba: One name that often comes up in my mind when I see her radiant, glowing skin is Ayeza Khan! She’s known for her radiant complexion and youthful glow. Of course, there are many other celebrities with beautiful skin, but Ayeza Khan is definitely one of the icons when it comes to that fresh and natural glow!
SD: As an influencer, do you feel the pressure to remain on top of your game due to the competition on social media?
Urooba: There is definite pressure but it’s important to constantly create engaging content, and connect with the audience. But you know what? I embrace the challenge! It pushes me to keep growing, learning, and evolving as a content creator. Plus, the support and love from my followers make it all worth it!
SD: Would you ever consider venturing into the field of acting anytime soon?
Urooba: I’m passionate about creating content and connecting with people as an influencer, I haven’t considered venturing into the field of acting. However, if the right opportunity comes along, I might just give it a shot!
SD: How do you wish to progress your talent further?
Urooba: I’m always looking for ways to progress and grow my talent further as a makeup artist. I’m also constantly learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in my field. All of this is leading to my dream to open up my own makeup studio soon.
SD: Do you feel there are limitations to learning about and pursuing one’s talent in the world of makeup?
Urooba: While pursuing your passion for makeup and creativity is incredibly rewarding, there can be some limitations. For example, access to resources, such as high-quality products and professional training, can sometimes be a challenge. Additionally, societal expectations and norms may influence the type of makeup styles that are considered acceptable or popular. However, with determination, passion, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt, these limitations can be overcome. It’s all about embracing your unique creativity and finding ways to express yourself through makeup.
