The female student, Fatima, sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a local hospital. Soon after the incident, the university constituted a high-level inquiry committee comprising senior faculty and management officials to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case.

According to initial police findings, the student was under intense family pressure to continue her studies in D. Pharmacy, a subject she reportedly found challenging. Police sources said she had earlier shared her distress with a close friend and expressed fear about her situation.
